Hi, I've just got new M7000A.
I like it very much, but I've got some problem with the network.

I connected the box with my PC through a WL-500G router. It works (I can see the tvix from the PC and the PC's folders from the tvix), but it is absolutely INSTABLE.

When I try to transfer a file from the PC (WinXP SP3) to the M-7000 (and vice versa), after some minutes (or seconds) the connection is over. The M-7000 doesn't respond to the ping (and vice versa).
I'm sure that's a problem of M-7000: i tried also without router, always the same.

Player itself is working while network part is not. So I could continue to see movie when I could not reach the box over the network.
I have to wait wait wait wait or restart the box.
I did copy most of the files to the box over USB. But I'd like to be able add something to the box over the network, most of all because M-7000 is in another room, connected only with network cable!!!
This instability in the network communication is driving me crazy. I can live with SLOW connection, but not with unstable one.

Tried with firmware 1.2.52, 1.3.25, 1.3.65. Always the same.
Not found the release 1.4.46 mentioned by moverweel...

Do I have to change the unit and swap it for another???

Please help me, thx.

EDIT: i got the 1.4.46 firmware, http://www.tvix.co.kr/eng/support/betafirmware.aspx?act=RD&id=18, but it is for M-4100SH/5100SH series!!!
@jvalks: Don't tell me that you installed the 1.4.46 on M-7000 (or M-6500)???

This sounds like a firmware upgrade file. Look in your manual and follow the directions for the upgrade.

Also, if the firmware upgrade does not fix this problem, send it back for warranty service ASAP!!!

I had a similar problem with my M5000A and it never worked right. I spent too much time trying to figure out the problem and it was already out of warranty by the time someone told me I had a defective unit. I was out of luck and out $500. What a rip off!!!!! So, if you are in doubt, send it back right away or you could get ripped off too!

Good luck

I'm using anydvdhd and I can burn it to iso but it does not play on the 6500. I wanted to do iso so it could handle the menus and track skip. Thanks

Hi there, I am new to these forums and the owner of 2x Tvix 6500 HD players (without hard drive).

One of them works fine but the other has a problem playing high definition mkv files. The whole screen has bright pink interference making viewing impossible.

I have put the working Tvix in place of the "faulty" one and it is 100% the player that is faulty, not the setup. Both machines have the same settings & I did a factory reset but this did not fix the problem.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? Is it a faulty machine?

Any input is appreciated

Kind regards

At some point i noticed the display on the main unit has hardly any brightness left. I use this when listening to music without having the TV on.

Can't find any setup parameter to decrease/increase the intensity of the display. Any suggestions?

I also have the same problem with my three hours old Tvix, which was running fine for the first 20 minutes before going dead (I wasn't in the same romm as the box when it powered off, so I don't know if there was an error message).
I've posted a question on the Tvix support website, I'll get back to y'all when/if I get an answer.

Has anyone heard anything from Dvico regarding this problem?

To add to the original post, the box also beeps really faintly when the direction key is flashing. Sometimes the flashing goes on and on until the on/off button is pressed and sometimes it powers itself off.

Rgrds,
Edit: No answer from Dvico, so I went to the store where they happily exchanged it for one that works so far.

When I show photos from my Tvix 7000, all the pictures wich is in original conditions (landscape view) show up OK. But all the pictures (jpg) which I have turned 90 deg in XP file explorer (film strip view) to have portraite view (due to the fact that the camera was held 90 deg when I took the picture) - they does not show up - just an error message "unsupported". I mean - why could this be the case. The Tvix must be able to support jpg's that is turned 90 deg. I hope it is not only me who is taking pictures by holding the camera 90 deg? The most common way for the customers to rotate picture - is by using the rotate function in XP file explorer (film strip view).

I got a major problem with my M6500.
The unit was working properly and without any problems for several months. Now the unit freezes randomly - avi file playback stops randomly; the screen is black, no audio, counter on the indicator is running. The unit does not respond to remote anymore. Pressing power button will cause the unit to reboot. After reboot the playback in the same file location is normal (i.e. not related to a particular file location).

In some cases (very rarely) the playback recovers after some stutter, and the video/audio tracks become not synchronized.

I made several firmware upgrades, going from the latest release to the latest beta version 1.4... something - did not fix any problems.

The problem does not seem to be related to overheating - I have no internal HDD, a lot of space around the unit, normal fan speed, the problem occurs at random durations after turning on - from 2 minutes to 1 hour. Probability of occurance - approximately every 20-25 minutes.

The unit was working flawlessly with the same configuration (USB 2.0 external drive). The main difference which may be related to this problem - I enabled - direct HDMI connection and enabling digital sound.

I've seen several posts on some forums reporting the same problem. Is it a known bug, firmware or hardware problem? Any recommendations?
The problem is extermely frustrating - it makes watching anything almost impossible!
