Please help me with my new Hard Drive....

I got this Hard Drive - Desktop - USB 2,0 and I can't get it to work!

I can figure out what operating system support I need to format the Hard Drive from, there is no information anywhere!? NTFS, FAT32, MAC Extended (HFS+) ?!

And when I connect the Hard Drive to my MAC all I get is a "System Volume Information" with a "MountPointManagerRemoteDatabase"...what is that? I can't do anything with it!

The next step is to "Select Applications → Utilities → Disk Utility" What is this, I don't have these options!?

I am so lost...PLEASE Help me?!
